Preschool Children (age 2.5-5) Drop-off from 9:45-10:00 a.m. in the Early School classroom facing the courtyard. Pick-up after worship.

Elementary Children (Kindergarten-Grade 6) begin in Worship at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary. Children are invited to exit at 10:15 a.m. to meet their teachers in the Narthex. Children in all grades are welcome to stay in worship or join in Children’s Church.  Parents, please pick up your child in the Fellowship Hall at 11:15 a.m..

Our curriculum, The Biggest Story Curriculum, creatively engages children in God’s Word by taking them on a journey through the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Children will learn God’s plan to redeem the world through his Son, Jesus! Plus, they’ll sing some sacred and silly worship songs, memorize verses, play games, make fun crafts, and create a historical timeline along the way!

Faith Milestones

Faith Milestones exist to cultivate and commemorate faith development so we don’t forget God’s faithfulness. There are six faith milestones from birth-6th grade:

Celebration of New Life: Join us as we celebrate the birth of a new child and pray for our ever-expanding ELMO Pres family.

Baptism: A celebration of the sacrament of baptism for a child of a believing parent during Sunday morning worship.

Made for Worship: Preschool Children and parents explore the liturgy and meaning of worship followed by an opportunity to serve in the worship gathering.

Growing in God’s Word & Prayer: Kindergarten and 1st grade children and parents learn why we trust God’s Word, gather tools to dig into God’s Word, and practice a model for prayer. The commemorative event is the presentation of Bibles during morning worship.

Celebrating the Sacraments, Baptism & Communion: 3rd & 4th grade children and parents learn the meaning of these two important sacraments followed by the commemorative event of taking communion together during morning worship.

Stewardship & Service: 5th-6th grade children learn about stewardship, participate in Operation Christmas Child, and begin to assist in worship in various ways from reading Scripture to serving as ushers.
