El Montecito members have joyfully joined with Operation Christmas Child to deliver tangible expressions of God’s love to children through shoe boxes filled with small toys, school supplies and personal care items. OCC is administered by Samaritan’s Purse, which distributes the gift-filled shoeboxes at Christmas, as a way of sharing the Gospel with hundreds of thousands of children living in more than 160 countries — some hearing the name of Jesus for the very first time! Each year starting in the fall, our church gears up to collect shoeboxes for OCC, a program open to all our covenant partners and people in our congregation.
