Learning to Love to Pray, led by Ben Patterson. Many Christians want to pray, know they need to pray, because Jesus commanded them to pray, but are often bored by prayer, even frustrated by prayer because they don’t know how. That was my experience for many years, even as a pastor. Maybe that was why the one thing Jesus’s disciples specifically asked him to teach them was, “Lord, teach us to pray.” Luke 11:1.
Beginning Sunday, September 28, in the library, we will meet with Christ in his school of prayer, as Andrew Murray put it, because Jesus promised that whenever two or three are gathered in his name he will be there. It will be a workshop format, combining teaching and practice, beginning promptly at 11:30am, and ending at 12:30pm. Light refreshments will be provided.
